V-LINE Launches Campaign to Celebrate Double Anniversary
Sehnde, Germany, 05.12.2008
“2009 will not only be another challenging business year, it also marks the 20th anniversary of V-LINE Europe and the 30th anniversary of our involvement in the MRO supply business,” Detlev Daues, CEO of V-LINE, said tonight at the company’s 2008 Christmas party, held at a historic railway station in Leinhausen, Germany.
Nearly all of the ninety employees of V-LINE’s German headquarters were gathered at the event. Excellent food was served, and the dance floor stayed filled late into the evening.
“2008 was another successful year. We experienced 20% growth in most markets. We should be proud that we reached our targets, take the chance to enjoy tonight, and gear up for new challenges in 2009,” Detlev Daues said in his opening speech. At the event, two special guests were personally welcomed: Mohammed Kaleem Butt and Michael Daley, who together nearly represent V-LINE’s entire business history.
Mohammed Kaleem Butt was the first sales representative in Saudi Arabia at the beginning of the 1980s and is today president of the Varioline Group, based in Lahore, Pakistan. Michael Daley joined V-LINE USA two years ago and is currently on an exchange training program in Germany. He is responsible for a group of plants in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
V-LINE’s “Twenty-Thirty” campaign will be ongoing throughout 2009. Various activities will be held, including a main event on 29 May.
“A consistent focus on total procurement cost in MRO supply has been a key factor for our success, alongside being attentive to our customers,” Klaus Menzel, general manager of the V-LINE Group, remarked. “This thirty-year history demonstrates our commitment and dedication to the success of our customers—now and in the future.”
